Industrial Protective Filter for Electronic Machines | Velum
Only compatible with a standard Velum Filter Refill
An industrial protective filter engineered for electronic machines, the Velum patented filter system mounts externally, directly over the inlet grille of the ventilation and cooling system. Knitted fabric collects and holds oily mist while fresh, clean air keeps passing into the machine, protecting the internal filter media. It serves production floors, maintenance programs, and machine shops running electronic equipment.
Five rectangular sizes cover common grille widths: 200 mm (7.9 in.), 300 mm (11.8 in.), 400 mm (15.7 in.), 500 mm (19.7 in.), and 600 mm (23.6 in.). Each filter works only with a standard Velum Filter Refill, and a marking space on the sheet records the date of the last change and the operator who carried it out.
Key features:
• Visual replacement check: when contaminants visibly cover the sheet, it is time for a new one, so condition is judged at a glance from outside the machine.
• 5-second changeover: filters swap without specialized manpower, cutting the downtime and missed-production costs tied to internal filter service.
• Refill supply: each Velum refill roll holds 110 sheets, keeping replacement sheet stock on hand for a steady service program.
Why put an industrial protective filter outside the machine?
Mounting the filter externally intercepts oily contamination before the intake, so the machine's own filtration lasts longer between internal replacements.
Applications: ventilation grille protection, cooling system intake filtration, oily mist capture, electronic machine care, scheduled filter replacement, downtime prevention.
Industries: electronics production, plant maintenance operations, metal fabrication, precision machining.
Users: machine operators, plant engineers, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) managers, maintenance technicians.
Which size protective filter fits your machine's intake grille?
Choose the width that spans the machine's ventilation inlet. Velum rectangles start at 200 mm (7.9 in.) and top out at 600 mm (23.6 in.) across five sizes, so measure the grille opening first and pick the size that covers it completely.
How often does a Velum protective filter need replacement?
Once a week is the recommended replacement interval, but some customers find changing the sheet after each use suits their machines better. The visual check decides, so replace the sheet as soon as contamination covers it. A swap takes 5 seconds, so either rhythm fits between jobs without interrupting production and keeps machine efficiency at its maximum.
Can Velum sheets replace the filter inside your machine?
No. The Velum sheet is an external protective layer, and the machine's internal element still does its own job behind it. The sheet holds contamination at the grille so that element stays cleaner between its own replacements, which is how the system cuts the repair costs and stoppages that follow a neglected internal filter.
